Our Privacy & Cookie Policy is drafted by TSMC Charity Foundation (hereinafter referred to as "our foundation"). The purpose of this Privacy & Cookie Policy is to inform you of the personal information that we may collect and how we handle the information. If you have any questions or concerns about our policy, please contact us. This policy is applicable to personal information obtained through our foundation website. If you are an EU citizen, please refer to the EU Appendix below as well.

Our foundation uses cookies to collect certain usage information regarding our website, such as your internet protocol (IP) address, browser type, operating system, and other similar information.

The personal information we collect may be used to reply to your inquires and requests (such as sending you newsletters or registering for events that you requested, or replying to inquires that you submitted), handle your job-hunting information, maintain your relationship with our foundation, maintain and improve our website and services, and other listed purposes of collecting personal information.

Our Privacy & Cookie Policy—EU Appendix

Applicability of EU Appendix
The purpose of this appendix is to inform users of other applicable regulations in addition to EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) when handling personal information. However, in the event that the content of the appendix contradicts with Our Privacy & Cookie Policy, the appendix takes precedence.
The legitimacy of Processing Your Personal Information Is Based on Laws and Purposes Listed Below:
  • Based on your legal consent, the personal information we collect may be used to reply to your inquires and requests, such as sending you newsletters or registering for events that you requested, or replying to inquires that you submitted; based on your legal consent, we may process your job-hunting information; based on legitimate interests of improving the quality of our website and services, we may use personal information to improve the quality of our website and services.
International Transfer of Information
Since our foundation is an enterprise based in Taiwan, the personal information that you submitted to our foundation will be collected and processed directly by our foundation in Taiwan. You have agreed to transfer your information to regions outside EU as well. Our foundation will strive to comply with EU General Data Protection Regulation for those personal information collected from the EU region.
