Network of Compassion Map

TSMC charity foundation has been connecting hospitals and social welfare facilities from all around Taiwan, looking for partners that share our goal in helping the elderly since 2014. Together with its partners, TSMC formed a nationwide network devoted to the caring of elderly people living alone—Network of Compassion.

To provide medical aid for the elderly living alone, hospitals around Taiwan in the Network of Compassion partnership have set up special line services for the elderly in low-income families to make doctor appointments. By giving them appointment fee exemption, we hope to relieve the burden of medical costs for the economically disadvantaged.

Further, TSMC collaborates with local social welfare facilities on transporting the elderly to partner hospitals, and providing care for the elderly on medication and daily activities after doctor's visit. Most of all, Network of Compassion dedicates itself to finding resources and catering the needs of the elderly living alone.

Network of Compassion is now divided into six divisions: northern Taiwan, Hsinchu and Miaoli, Taichung, Tainan, Kaohsiung, eastern Taiwan. Fourteen hospitals in rural areas and more social welfare facilities have signed up for our partnership this year.
