Bringing Old and Young Together: Storytelling of Love and Filial Piety
TSMC Charity Foundation took Fusing elementary school students, whom we have been keeping company for a year, to the Veteran's Home on June 4th. Through the children's storytelling of love and filial piety to the elderlies and veterans, the old and young get to know more about each other, giving the children an invaluable opportunity to understand the veterans'unique life experiences. The event will become another exciting chapter in the children's lives growing up.
Storytelling of Love and Filial Piety took place at Retirement & Assisted Living Facility in Hsinchu. The event brought the old and young together through activities surrounding themes of love and filial piety. With the guidance of TSCMC volunteers, elementary school students, ranging from grade 1 to 6, had a fabulous time playing charades and reading picture books about filial piety to the veterans. The adorable and heartwarming storytelling of the children soon had the veterans smiling and laughing, creating moments of happiness. This innocent and exhilarating interaction between the old and young gave the children an invaluable opportunity to understand the veterans' unique life experiences. The event will become another exciting chapter in the children's lives growing up.
We appreciate the assistance of every TSMC volunteer. We hope to commemorate the anniversary of the establishment of the TSMC volunteer group for promoting filial piety with different events, and to send love and filial piety to every corner of the society with further actions.
