Fight Against COVID: Semiconductor Enterprises Join Hands in Pandemic Combat

Whenever disasters strike, TSMC always seeks ways to provide disaster relief by utilizing its own professional expertise and resources, such as applying plant construction knowledge to help communities rebuild their houses. In face of the ongoing global pandemic, we call on different semiconductor enterprises, such as Vanguard International, Macronix, Micron Technology, United Microelectronics, 3M Taiwan, Ceachain, Damphos, to join us in the combat by providing medical laboratory scientists with personal protective equipment PAPRs. We would like to express our thanks to these invaluable partners for joining us in the donation of protective gear.

In the midst of the coronavirus, medical laboratory scientists are a group of heroes who perform viral testing and put themselves at high risk in the battle against COVID every day, yet they suffer from a lack of resources in hospitals. After some deliberation and thinking, we consider the donation of personal protective equipment to these laboratory scientists as the greatest aid we can give in time.

TSMC donated 240 PAPRs, 120 air filters, 864 vapor cartridges to all medical labs in hospitals and facilities on March 27, 2020. Without affecting companies' profitability, we invited different semiconductor enterprise partners to join us for donating personal protective equipment. Each semiconductor enterprise will donate a month's supply of medical gear to frontline lab scientists. In a time when every equipment counts, we call on our partners to donate PAPRs, used by labs in semiconductor factories, to frontline lab scientists. We would like to show our deepest gratitude to our partners: Vanguard International, Macronix, Micron Technology, United Microelectronics, 3M Taiwan, Ceachain, Damphos, for doing their parts and joining us in the fight against this pandemic.

We are not sure when the pandemic will be over, but we are deeply moved by the determination and kindness shown by people in the war against the pandemic around the world. Once we overcome the challenge set by the pandemic, we will become even stronger and more resilient.
