TSMC Promotes Cherish Food Program, Keeping Every Child’s Mouth Fed

Do you know the amount of Taiwan’s daily leftovers is enough to pile up 60 Taipei 101? 

TSMC Charity Foundation Chairperson Sophie Chang is always gently reminding people around her to cherish food. Encountering disadvantaged groups, she is also thinking about how to deliver food to those in need.

As a result, TSMC Charity Foundation found 23 disadvantaged sites that are in need of help. Providing them with freezers and periodically assessing the number of food needed, TSMC has asked food service companies to join in the campaign by donating off-grade products to these sites.

So far, CHIMEI Frozen Food Co., Hsin Tung Yang and Laurel Corp. have become TSMC’s Cherish Food partners. With their collaboration, we have delivered delicious food to children living in rural areas. By not wasting food, we strive to let every child grow up healthy and strong.
